September 29, 2020 – Healthcare architecture and design firm Altus Architectural Studios, Inc. (Altus) announced today that Watchara Umboontham has joined the firm as Project Coordinator. Umboontham has more than 12 years’ architectural experience in all phases including hands-on conceptual design practice through construction administration.
Umboontham came to the U.S. from Thailand at the age of 16. After earning her Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma-Norman, she served in several key support roles and managed design activities for projects including tenant improvements, schools, religious facilities, office buildings, senior housing, and hospital facilities. Her comprehension of and appreciation for healthcare architecture began more than seven years ago when she gained extensive experience in medical space planning, healthcare facility design per FGI requirements, and medical equipment coordination.
She joins Altus in its Denver, Colo. office and will be using her strong detail orientation and analytic talents to benefit the growing team.
